No 123 Deed Henry N Howe & Jas S Howe to Hannah D Howe
This Indenture made the twenty ninth day of October In the year of our Lord Eighteen Hundred and sixty between Henry N Howe and James S Howe of Santa Clara County state of California on the one part and Hannah D Howe of the Parish of Saint George County of Charlotte in the Province of New Brunswick of the other part Witnesseth. Whereas Simeon Howe the Father of the said Henry N Howe and James S Howe and husband of the said Hannah D Howe died Intestate being seized of certain portions of Real Estate in the Province of New Brunswick aforesaid and whereas it is the wish of the said Henry & James Howe in Consideration of the love and affection which they bear for their mother the said Hannah D Howe and in order to provide for her a subsistence to release and convey unto her all their Interest and Title to all and every the property both real and personal belonging unto the said Simeon Howe at the time of his death or to any Equitable claim that said Simeon Howe may have had either then or prospectively Now know ye that the said Henry N Howe and James S Howe for and in consideration of the sum of five dollars well and truly paid by the said Hannah D Howe and for the reasons above mentioned do hereby grant bargain sell and forever quit claim unto the said Hannah D Howe her Heirs and Assigns all their right title and interest in and to all that certain piece or parcel of Land situate in the Parish of Saint George in the Province of New Brunswick aforesaid now in the occupation of John OBrien and held by said OBrien under lease from the said Simeon Howe bearing date the first day October AD eighteen hundred and fifty together with all and singular the rents profits privileges and appurtenances to each of the above name premises belonging and also by this Indenture is conveyed all right Title and interest both in law and equity to any other real property that may have belonged to the said Simeon Howe at the time of his death To Have and to Hold to the said Hannah D Howe her Heirs administrators and assigns to her own purpose use and behoof forever In Witness whereof the said Henry N Howe and James S Howe (and Rebecca wife of the said Henry N Howe and Clementina wife of the said James S Howe in Token of their relinquishment of Dower have hereunto set their Hands and seals the day and year first above written

Her Britannic Majestys Consul for the State of California Do
Hereby certify that Henry N Howe and Rebecca J Howe his wife and
James S Howe and Clementina N Howe his wife well known to me to
be the individuals named in and who executed the annexed
Instrument personally appeared before me and in my presence
affixed their signatures and seals thereto and thereupon
acknowledged (the wives separate and apart from their Husbands)
that they executed the same voluntarily and for the purposes
therein set forth. In testimony whereof, I have hereunto set my
Hand and affixed my seal of Office in San Francisco the twenty
ninth day of October in the year of Our Lord one thousand eight
Hundred and sixty.
